Using a flat nurb surface, I manipulated each point to create the the illusion of mountains.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using the CV curve tool, the extrude/planar tools, and some much needed point manipulation, I was able to construct a bridge which looked as if it had been carved from the rocky mountains.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A mountain texture has been added to the rocky environment and the bridges.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A major light source has been added directly above the altar. This light source actually emanates from an ambient light contained within the glowing orb above the altar. The glow effect was added to the orb to give the illusion that the orb was the source of the light.This ambient light spreads out across the entire environment, which seems to get brighter as you get closer to its enter.
Production Log: Pt. 2
The fire staff now complete, I decided to create an altar for it to be propped on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I surrounded the staff with 4 very large pieces of arced metal. These pieces would later be copied and manipulated to be used for decoration around the environment. No mountains as of yet.

Production Log: Pt. 1
This is very first thing I started to create. My original idea was to construct a firey magical staff. It was only after the completion of this staff that I decided to make an environment.
Midterm: Abstract
The goal for my midterm is to create a large 3-D environment using nurbs, polygons, lighting/glow effects, textures, and possibly some particles.
I want to create a unique space contained within its own realm. I want there to be a certain geographical and cultural theme running throughout the environment, which would help tie all the individual components together. This environment could be used as the set piece for either an animation, a short movie, or an amateur video game. The environment itself, however, would not be designed for any specific type of game-play.
